ACT: Endangered Status for All Chimpanzees

Born Free USA applauds the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's decision to protect all chimpanzees, wild and captive alike. The proposed rule change, published on June 12th, would reclassify captive chimpanzees as "endangered" under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), a listing that has been afforded their wild counterparts since 1973. This would extend much-needed ESA protection to the approximately 2,000 chimpanzees captive in the U.S today. Share your support now by posting a comment.
